Japão: eu na terra do sol
Conforme as pesquisas que iniciei pela internet, percebi que, já que estaria tão longe, poderia aproveitar para conhecer também a Indochina. Descobri que de Tóquio poderia pousar em Bangkok, na Tailândia, de lá para Sien Reap, no Camboja, e depois para Saigon, no Vietnã, para retornar a Tóquio… Mas vou falar desta vez sobre os meus primeiros 13 dias, que foram no Japão, e onde conheci Tóquio, Quioto e o Monte Fuji.
A partir do momento em que pousei em Tóquio me senti em outro planeta — todo mundo falando japonês, língua que até então desconhecia. A primeira impressão foi de pânico. Sozinho, sem falar a língua e precisando de informações! Mas as coisas foram evoluindo — a educação dos japoneses é impecável —, e o aplicativo Google tradutor, indispensável!
Em Tóquio tudo é muito tecnológico, tudo funciona perfeitamente — embora o trânsito seja caótico. A cidade, devastada na 2ª Guerra, teve que ser reconstruída rapidamente e, por isso, cresceu sem planejamento. O resultado é a total desordem dos carros, contrastando com a ordem em que vive a população. Por isso, o metrô é perfeito, e os táxis caríssimos! Indico baixar o aplicativo Tokyo Subway: é incrível como fica fácil conhecer a cidade de metrô com ele!
Fui de trem-bala — chamado de shinkansen — para Quioto, região com mais de mil templos e com uma cidade turística à margem do rio. Como é impossível conhecer todos os templos em um dia, escolhi cinco, entre eles o templo dourado, Kinkaku-ji — todo revestido de ouro (há uma réplica dele em Itapecerica da Serra), e o Fushimi Inari, um lindo parque e cemitério budista onde estão, no caminho da montanha, 3 Km de colunas na cor laranja, com ideo-gramas desenhados — “caminho de toriis”. Foi um dia contemplativo que acabou em um jantar no bairro das gueixas.
O Monte Fuji é absoluto! O tamanho do vulcão, ainda comparando-o ao resto da paisagem, é impressionante: 3.776m de altura! É o monte mais alto da ilha Honshu e por isso vive encoberto pelas nuvens. Cheguei até a base do vulcão — chamada de “quinta estação”, um centro comercial que fica numa parte do vulcão aonde dá para chegar de carro. Foi dali que consegui avistá-lo! É muito emocionante!
Voltando para Tóquio e ainda com alguns dias de viagem pela frente, fui conhecer os bairros da cidade, cada um com uma característica bem peculiar. Entre eles, Akihabara, o centro dos eletrônicos: Shiinjuku, o bairro boêmio com bons restaurantes e vida noturna; Shibuya, o bairro da moda com sua famosa Rua Omotesando, a mais sofisticada de Tóquio; Ginza, também um bairro comercial, tipo Jardins; e Roppongi Hills, que, como o nome diz, é um bairro com influência americana, cheio de lojas, escolas de inglês e baladas para os jovens estrangeiros.
Tóquio me fez perceber que é possível 36 milhões de pessoas viverem numa grande cidade de forma equilibrada e sem violência. A educação no Japão é uma das bases da cultura, que, aliada à tecnologia, fonte de estudo e investimento no país, e à reverência pela religião, pela memória e pelo meio ambiente, faz com que a Ilha de Honshu tenha uma aura de outro planeta, de filme de ficção… De lugar ideal para viver!
