Alguns utensílios me são muito caros, como as colheres de pau ou madeira, que costumo colecionar desde que comecei a cozinhar. A minha coleção foi formada durante anos; sempre trago das minhas viagens, elas vêm de vários lugares do mundo. 

Elas se avolumam na minha cozinha (foto) e não consigo me desfazer, mesmo das mais antigas — são os meus troféus! 

A colher existe desde que o homem começou a produzir a sua comida, feita de de uma árvore, um galho  —  para mexer o caldeirão! São inúmeros os tipos e tamanhos de colheres e utensílios feitos de matéria-prima natural. 

madeira surge em nosso país por meio dos indígenas, que de certa maneira foram influenciados pelos colonizadores europeus. E, atualmente, todo mundo que cozinha têm várias colheres de pau — mas que confessam que há sempre uma preferida.

A colher de pau traz uma memória da cozinha diária, marcada pelo fogo, chamuscada, que entrega a desatenção da cozinheira. São marcas do tempo e dos sabores que a envolve. 

São muitos os seus usos: desde mexer um arroz, fazer um doce ou para ajudar a coar um café no coador de pano — essa deve ser usada apenas para esse fim, para não mudar o sabor do café… Outras, eu uso só para mexer o molho de tomate ou o feijão. Elas não ‘machucam’ o fundo da panela, como uma colher de metal e ainda evitam que as cozinheiras queimem suas mãos.

Segundo a ANVISA, as colheres de madeira possuem um grande inconveniente, a porosidade, que absorve umidade, o que é propício para acúmulo de bactérias. No entanto, as comidas gostosas e tradicionais são feitas em colher de madeira, pois, tudo influencia no paladar. Então, se é para comer bem, eu prefiro a colher de pau! Como alguém disse, colher-de-pau nunca matou ninguém a não ser que seja espancado com uma! E também há de se observar que a colher de pau contaminada resiste à fervura, o que nem sempre ocorre com a de material plástico, que pode amolecer e até derreter.

Uma amiga me disse que usa a colher de pau para deixar o forno um pouco aberto, colocado-a entre a porta do forno… Elas são incríveis, servem para muitos fins — um dos utensílios mais práticos e úteis em uma cozinha.

E, desde então, são usados como talheres para suas refeições.

INGREDIENTES: 1kg de amoras e 500g de morangos. 

1kg de açúcar refinado. 

MODO DE FAZER: Levar todos os ingredientes dentro de uma panela com fundo grosso, ao fogo médio. Depois deixar no fogo brando. E ir mexendo com a colher de pau. Até que reduza pela metade. Sempre mexendo com a colher até que dê o ponto (quando desgruda da panela).
